Magnesium

(Mg, Mg2+, latin Magnesia)

Magnesium is one of the most abundant minerals in soft tissues. The average adult has 20 to 28 grams of magnesium, of which about 60% is in the bones. The rest of magnesium is in the muscles, soft tissues and body fluids. Magnesium in high concentrations can be found inside cells, especially heart and brain cells.
